This is it people.  The release of the If You Have An Egg app featuring a Trader Joe’s Shopping Guide is almost upon us.  It’s so close I can taste it.  Almost literally.  As in we had dinner entirely from the Shopping Guide tonight.  And we are full…and happy.  And ready to do this!

The biggest decision we had to make tonight was what to call this new club we were forming for the app.  Something that represented how easy we are trying to make this.  Convenience.  No, simple.  No.  Quickie….nooooo.

So my brilliant husband started quizzing me.

  • How long did it take?  15 minutes
  • Did everything come from Trader Joe’s?   Yes
  • Was it easy?  Very
  • Why was it easy?  Well it was only 3 ingredients and….hey…

It didn’t take us long to realize most of my Trader Joe’s creations are five ingredients or less.  So here ya go, the TJ’s Five Below Club.  Wanna join?

We had the Trader Joe’s Chunky Artichoke & Jalapeno dip in our cart last night and the girl checking us out gave us this idea.  I wish I knew your name…this one is for you brown hair on lane 3!

Trader Joe’s Five Below Club: Jalapeno Artichoke Crusty Bread – 8 Weight Watchers Smart Points

Ingredients:

  • 1 Trader Joe’s Ciabatta Roll (75 grams)
  • 2 Tbsp Trader Joe’s Chunky Artichoke & Jalapeno Dip
  • 1 Tbsp Trader Joe’s Parmesan & Romano Grated Cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.  Using a bread knife cut the ciabatta in half lengthwise.  Lay ciabatta slices face up on the parchment.  Spread one tablespoon of the artichoke dip on each slice and then sprinkle on the grated cheese evenly between the two slices.  Bake for 10 minutes and then switch to broil for 5 minutes or until the top is bubbly and the edges of the bread start to brown/crisp.   Pat yourself on the back for joining the Five Below Club…but make sure everyone thinks it was sooo much more work than that or they’re gonna want in the club too 🙂
