These are the transcriptions from tonight’s chat about my WW Eating Out 101 with Smart Points listed.  As always these are available on Facebook, YouTube and on my blog If You Have an Egg
http://www.ifyouhaveanegg.com/?p=2168

  • First things first, these are LIVE video chats when they are recorded so yes, I talk to people when they ask questions!
  • Please remember to Like, Comment, Share and Subscribe on Facebook and YouTube so I can keep making more of these Chats and easy recipe videos!
  • Tip – ask for double slices…your eyes will think you are eating twice as much (I’m serious, it works)
  • Bulk up – keep fruit in your purse! Remember, if I see you out we will be doing a “purse check” to make sure you have some!
  • Salad Dressing Cups – watch out…most of those little cups they bring are 2 oz. 2 oz = 4 Tbsp.  And 4 Tbsp of just regular Ranch (not to mention something fancy) = a whopping 9 Smart Points!
  • Hold the bread basket or only bring enough for everyone else. Skipping the bread or roll can save anywhere from 5 SP to 8 SP and that’s if you don’t slather it in butter
  • No butter added on fish, veggies, corn, etc. Well intended steamed broccoli can add up 5 SP if they add butter.  If the server can’t help don’t be shy to ask to see the manager
  • AVOID! Slaws, Pasta Salad, Regular Dressings, Teas with syrup flavorings added, and anything the server or manager can’t readily identify
  • Need to estimate a portion while you’re out? Use your hands!  For the printable list visit Weight Watchers https://www.weightwatchers.com/util/art/index_art.aspx?tabnum=1&art_id=167771
    • Fist = approximately 1 cup
    • Your thumb from the tip to the base = approximately 1 ounce of meat or cheese

  • Additional Resources: whether you are doing WW Online, attending meetings, or just gleaning what you can from us you have resources!  Use the recipes and meal ideas in your weekly from the meeting.  Search hashtags like #weightwatchers on social media to get some great ideas.  If you are using ETools you can scan, track, keep up with favorite foods and ideas.  Or if you like pen and paper grab a paper track every week.  My daughter Kc likes to journal and they are so much fun with pretty markers and *squeal* stickers!  Resources from moi:
    • I use index cards to keep a written record that I can touch, see, carry with me and then sort by Smart Points Value. If it’s a real I post it in a printable version on the blog:  ifyouhaveanegg.com  I can also sort these and know what my points are going to be for the day.  Bu-bam…7 sets of cards = 7 days = you guessed it…home base for me
