WW (Weight Watchers) Chat #156: SmartPoints 101

Last week during Chat #155 “Your Guide to Setting a New Year’s Resolution” we took time to think about some Unrealistic Resolutions and RETHINK to make them a realistic, attainable, time defined, success!

Below are some great examples from our Egglettes:

  • Instead of saying “I have to get 10,000 steps a day this year,” Sherry strapped her FitBit back on, decided on a 1,000 step per day starting goal AND celebrated her 66th birthday!
  • Andrea had set a goal of “more water” and decided during the chat to make it more specific so she could see her progress.  If you didn’t see her water bottle over on the closed group you have to go check it out. She marked her bottle at 4 oz, 6 oz, 8 oz and so on all with motivational messages like “keep going”, “chug!” and “half way there”!
  • Sandi decided that not only would she track on her phone but also keep a written journal… sometimes you just have to put a pen on that paper, know what I mean?

Bravo ladies, you nailed it!

This Week’s Topic

We are two weeks into the new decade but the holidays are far from a shadow for a lot of us.  This week WW reminds us to re-familiarize ourselves with some basics of the SmartPoints system…. SmartPoints 101

  1. Know Before You Go: pre-tracking has saved my hiney more than once and even just looking it up before you put it in your mouth is an eye opener!
  2. The tools are in your hands: remember to use your WW tools that are attached to your wrists when you’re wrestling with whether to eat a “serving” or a “portion”
  3. #bulkitup: Smart Swaps or even using a zero point food to bulk up something else can mean more satisfying portions, fuller tummies, and many times prettier presentations!

This Week’s Homework
