WW (Weight Watchers) Chat #169: How to Stay on Track

Last week was two weeks ago. Thank you for all your thoughts, prayers, and well wishes. My dad passed away last Easter, my mom this same resurrection day. The hole in my heart is huge but you all fill it!

During Chat #168 we talked about easing stress. Whew, did I need a prep week for that! After the news of my mom I tuned out. No news. No Facebook. Unplugging from TV and social media is the only reason I stayed sane.

Your homework for the week was to #unplug and share with me on social media…Let’s see how you ladies did with your homework!

  • Alyssa and I put Dusty in her wading pool and tortured him with giggles for an hour
  • Michele rocked her Goofy leggings and caught some rays with a good book
  • Sandi’s SIM card went kaput so she spent 36 unwilling hours without a cell phone and survived!
  • My Christy was brave and took not one but all THREE dogs for a walk… at the same time!

Bravo ladies, you nailed it!

This Week’s Topic: How to Stay on Track

This week we work on ways to stay on tracks. Are you trying to stay on your old track or do you find yourself on a new one? COVID-19 sent me down a temporary new track. Losing my mom could have derailed me. So I’m forging a new one. If you have a current WW membership with eTools you can print off this week’s Weekly and a list of 8 ways to stay on track.

This Week’s Homework: #stayontrack

Your homework this week is to choose one of the 8 ideas from your Weekly and tag me in it! I’m choosing #5 – Keep a Healthy Habit Journal and one of the things I will be journaling is planning special “treats”. Not snacks, a real “treat”. I am alone in the showroom during COVID-19 and I’m taking that time to actually eat lunch (a new habit I want to keep!) and make a quick “treat” in the afternoon for a quick way to get some caffeine without spending many points.

Extra Credit: Coffee Talk with Pedal Java

Mr. and Mrs. Pedal Java are two of my most fun friends and I soooo needed their energy tonight (the extra espresso didn’t hurt either)

I’ve been “self medicating” with mediocre coffee while I have been alone in the showroom the last few weeks. After watching Mr. and Mrs. PJ’s hilarious Tiger King parodies on IGTV I decided it was time for some better java.

I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do and remember these tips from the Java King and Queen:

Tip 1: Don’t be a lazy barista

Tip 2: There is never enough chocolate

Tip 3: If someone asks you “chocolate or caramel?” the correct answer is “Yes please!”

Tip 4: If your tap water has a chlorine “note” use spring water, not distilled water

Tip 5: If Kelly can make Cold Brew so can you! Get your easy at-home kit here.

Tip 6: 3 fingers and a solo cup are the only measuring utensils you need

Tip 7: Unless you just like grinding your own beans, Pedal Java ground coffee is the freshest and correctly processed ground shipped directly to you!

Tip 8: Always decorate your cup

Tip 9: Red Velvet Cake… it’s not just for breakfast anymore

Tip 10: Ice cream and coffee. Coffee and ice cream. The best prescription we can legally write after being quarantine with your kids for a month.

Coffee recipes are coming soon! Be sure to subscribe to the blog and be the first to know when they’re posted.
