Are you planning to serve a taco bar at your next party or just looking to add a spicy treat to your next meal? You can buy pre-packaged candied jalapenos but making them at home saves both money and points – it’s a win/win!

These candied jalapenos are one of my favorite taco toppings and you won’t believe how easy they are to make. As long as you’ve got the right ingredients, an air fryer, and a kitchen knife you’re just minutes away from making your first batch.

Ingredients

  • 4 ½ jalapeno peppers, sliced
  • 2 tbsp Truvia baking blend (or other sugar substitute)
  • Non-stick spray

Instructions

  1. Wash your jalapenos and pat them dry
  2. Thinly slice each jalapeno
  3. Place the slices in the bottom of your air fryer and spritz them with non-stick spray
  4. Top them with a sprinkle of Truvia or your favorite sweetener
  5. Cook in the air fryer on 400 for about 6-8 minutes or until the sugar substitute started to crystalize a little bit (checking and tossing at 4 minutes)

Notes

Store for up to 3 days in refrigerator - does not keep well. So easy to make there is no reason to freeze them when you can enjoy them fresh!
