Don’t you smack your forehead sometimes and think “well gee I wish someone had told me!”

How To: Season Your Air Fryer

That’s how I feel about the super simple, and greatly helpful yet subtle suggestion from Simple Living Products when I first opened that air fryer packaging.  Ok let’s be honest, it wasn’t that subtle.  It appears on a postcard.  It’s featured in the instruction manual.  They kinda think it’s a big deal.  And after doing it myself I have to agree.

I have been keeping a tally of how many times we’ve used the Simple Living Products Air Fryer and checking screws, finish, handle, pan and bottom.  After literally hundreds of uses with every kind of food imaginable it still looks just like it did when I took it out of the box that first day.  My original air fryer still works (a different brand), but the bottom starting flaking within a month and the basket sticks a little.

Air Fryer.  Season it.  Trust Me.
