WW (Weight Watchers) Chat #188: Breakfast is Served

Comments are Disabled In the spirit of transparency, I do receive commission from mentioning some of the products in this post. Any commission I earn comes at no additional cost to you and I’ll never recommend products that I don’t use, love and believe in.

The deadline for turning in your words for this charm challenge is up, hopefully you got yours in…I’ve seen them and they are super cute!

Free digital tools have been extended through November 30 for Lifetime members who were at goal in March or are currently at goal. You have to check in during November and by November 30 and be within 2 pounds to get a digital voucher for December. If you don’t live near a Wellness Check In location, go to “chat” with a coach on your app and ask what the policy in your area is.

Thank you to everyone who bought a Weggo t-shirt, other items from our website, came to see me, or sent money towards the new camera. I got a chance to play with one last week and I’m confident it is what we need. We are still about $400 away so if you didn’t get a chance to get a shirt we still have some!

You can help us meet our goal by:

Thank you for your support!

Last week we took teeny tiny steps to create some micro habits to help us get a little closer to creating some big habits on the road to success! Tiny things (microscopic even!) like leaving out your toothbrush can lead to a bigger habit of knowing it’s time to stop eating.

Your homework this week was #microhabit – let’s see how you did!

  • Carla said she was feeling okay. Her micro habit was to walk more so she increased the step goal on her FitBit by 50 steps per day and hopes to continue increasing it incrementally.
  • Trish’s micro habit was to prep the ingredients for her morning protein shake. She weighs out and measures the ingredients ahead of time so that all she has to do in the morning is throw everything in the blender and go! As a bonus, she pre-tracks her shake in her WW app.
  • Mary Ann over on YouTube has 2. She puts her water bottle by the sink so she would remember to fill it and she preps fruit and vegetables to ensure she chooses a healthy snack.
  • Rosie on YouTube struggles to get her veggies in so she’s purchasing pre-cut veggies and premade salads to make it easier to make a healthy choice.

Bravo ladies, you nailed it!

This Week’s Topic: Breakfast is Served

This week is Chat #188 and one of my favorite topics – “Breakfast is Served!”

Whether you start your day at 6 am with a “traditional” breakfast or make the first meal of the day whenever (and whatever) you can, breakfast is a misunderstood meal that deserves some demystifying.

Q: Is breakfast really the most important meal of the day?
A: The jury is out, but those who start their day with a healthy meal are more likely to stay on that track all day.

Q: Does breakfast have to be eggs or yogurt?
A: Absolutely not! How about a turkey sandwich? I start many days with string cheese and an apple or grapes.

Q: Does breakfast have to be in the morning?
A: Ummm hello? Breakfast for dinner… it’s a winner!

Extra Credit: Busy Mom’s Breakfast

I’m a mom, a grandmother, and a business owner. I’m sure many of you can relate to the lack of free time I have in my life! And because of that, I don’t have a ton of time to spend preparing my meals in the morning.

So in this week’s extra credit I’m embracing batch cooking so that I can prepare meals ahead of time to be ready throughout the week.

Some of my favorite busy mom breakfasts are:

And if you aren’t big on breakfast, that’s okay! A great alternative is to mix cold brew coffee with a Premier Protein shake for an easy, drinkable breakfast.
