Sausage balls are a statement piece on any souther holiday buffet table, but they don’t have to be reserved just for special occasions! These delicious treats make a perfect breakfast, appetizer, or side dish. You can even add a side of scrambled eggs and fruit for a low point meal.

Cream Cheese Sausage Balls

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Bisquick Heart Smart pancake and baking mix
  • 4 cups Velveeta Shreds Original
  • 32 oz. Jennie-O Breakfast Turkey Sausage
  • 1/4 cup Fat-free Cream Cheese

Instructions

  1. Make your own fat free cream cheese (or use commercially prepared) and let soften
  2. Mix all ingredients in a stand mixer with bread hook or by hand until well blended
  3. Form small balls approximately 1" in diameter and place on a cookie sheet
  4. Bake for 15 minutes of 350 F

Notes

Refrigerate any leftovers for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. I always make a double batch so I have some to freeze!
